1/2 Day Yoga Workshop with Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM)

Open to all experience levels.

Explore the philosophy, health and wellness benefits, and various branches of yoga during this half day workshop lead by Susie Pfefferkorn on Monday, July 12 from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.

This workshop will begin with learning the basics of what "yoga" is and how it can benefit your daily life - the simplicity of beginning and continuing. Susie will then discuss the 'Eight Limbs of Yoga' and how they are linked to the styles of Asana while you flow through the practice. There will be a 30-minute refreshment break during the program.

Eight Limbs of Yoga:

  1. Yamas - five moral restraints (nonviolence, truthfulness, non-stealing, moderation and non-covetousness)
  2. Niyamas - five self observances (purity, contentment, spiritual austerities, self-study and surrender to God)
  3. Asana - physical posture
  4. Pranayama - mindful breathing
  5. Pratyahara - turning your focus inward
  6. Dharana - concentration
  7. Dhyana - meditation
  8. Samadhi - union of self with meditation

You will leave feeling the union between body, mind and spirit and ready for Academy!

Additional Registration Fee applies. If you have already registered for Academy but would like to add the yoga workshop to your registration, please contact Megan Moloney.
